Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly bookish meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl that features a different bookish topic every week.
Today’s topic is Books I Was Reading On This Day Over the Last Ten Years
Most of them are accurate to the day, but when there weren’t any books for this date, I chose the next closest ones. This was such a fun prompt, I had a great time searching through my books and going down memory lane. I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone else has read over the years!
Top Ten Books I Was Reading On This Day Over the Last Ten Years

- 2025: The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins – This is a fun one. I was reading this series on this day in 2025 and 2015! I was also reading this in 2022, 2021, 2017, 2013, and 2011, but not on this day!
- 2024: Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster – One of my favorite childhood books. I was feeling nostalgic. I also read Anne of Green Gables right after this book at this time in 2024.
- 2023: Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin – I don’t remember very much about this book anymore, but I remember loving it and rating it 5 stars.
- 2022: I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy – This one was heartbreaking. It was so hard to read about her abuse, especially when it comes from someone who is supposed to protect you.
- 2021: She Who Became the Sun by Shelley Parker-Chan – I read this as a buddy read with a whole bunch of people and I remember loving the experience. I honestly don’t even remember much about the book itself but I did rate it 4 stars!
- 2020: Eight Perfect Murders by Peter Swanson – This is the kind of book I read and then mostly forget about, and I had forgotten about it until I had to dig it up for this post. It was fun, thrilling in the moment, and my review says I enjoyed the way the story unfolded.
- 2019: The Breathing Method by Stephen King – Ooof! This was a short story but it gave my imagination a lot of gore to work with and it haunted me for months. Remembering it for this prompt is bringing those gory visuals to mind again!
- 2018: Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning – I loved this series! It’s one of my favorite series although I haven’t finished it. There are 11 books and I’ve read nine of them. I have issues finishing long-running series because I’m not always able to get all the books sequentially and in a timely manner. If I have to wait too long, I forget details and have to reread and it’s hard to reread so many books to get to the later ones.
- 2017: Pandemic by Yvonne Ventresca – I had forgotten about this book but apparently I liked it and gave it 4 stars! I should’ve reread it during the pandemic, but I’m also curious to read it now that we’ve been through the pandemic.
- 2016: Incarnate by Jodi Meadows – I don’t remember this book at all! And apparently I’ve read all three books in the trilogy! I don’t remember a single thing! Now I have to decide if they are worth rereading.
Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them? Would you read any of these books?
