Today’s topic is Books on My Fall 2026 To-Read List
My husband’s computer went kaput all of a sudden a couple of weeks ago and he’s been using my computer until he gets a replacement, so coupled with that and my own goings-on, I haven’t been active on the blog or reading very much at all. I managed to get this week’s topic done but I’m not sure how many of these I’m actually going to be able to finish this fall.
I did try to choose more easy-to-read, light-hearted romances, but some are bookclub BOTMs, and I’m also neck-deep in series I haven’t finished but I didn’t want to add them to this list because they’d take over the list! Fingers crossed I surprise myself and end up reading more than I expect!
Top Ten Books on My Fall 2026 TBR
- The Mighty Red by Louise Erdrich – This has been on my TBR since it was released and I still haven’t read it. It’s in the running for my in-person bookclub’s BOTM for October, so hopefully it wins and I’ll finally read it!
- A Door Into Ocean by Joan Slonczewski – This month’s BOTM I have to finish by the weekend! It looks daunting but it sounds interesting so hopefully I make it!
- The Girl With A Thousand Faces by Sunyi Dean – It’s one of our bookclub member’s choice for November’s BOTM. She says it’s been highly recommended to her.
- The Shippers by Katherine Center – I’ve been excited about this one for months but I’ve been putting it aside for other more “urgent” books. I think I might be taking it for granted.
- To Be Taught, If Fortunate by Becky Chambers – I love Becky Chambers and this is another one I want to read sooner rather than later.
- The Romance Revival by Christina Lauren – Another romance I’d been taking for granted. It sounds so fun though!
- The Ides of April by Lindsey Davis – I need this for the 52 Book Club 2026 Prompt #1 but I hesitate to start it because it’s a long-running series!
- A Short Stay in Hell by Steven L. Peck – I heard it’s good and it’s a short book, which is a good thing at this time!
- The Roommate Rule by Georgia Stone – Another fun romance, it sounds like. I love the forced proximity trope!
- Extra Curricular by Rachel Lynn Solomon – And another romance. I’ve been thinking of maybe taking a weekend lone staycation just for binging romances!
