Normally I’d have no problems looking for books with fall vibes, but I’ve recently participated in a couple of reading challenges where there were a few prompts for books with fall vibes, and I just feel like doing something a little different today. Besides, my alphabetical TTT series has been a little slow, so I might as well add to it!
Top Ten Books Beginning with F
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury – One of those classics I can’t believe I haven’t read yet.
Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley – I keep going back and forth with this one; I wasn’t interested in it, but I keep seeing and hearing about it and I’m curious!
Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson – This book calls to the part of me that’s broken but still has a wicked sense of humor. I should probably read it soon and get a little carthasis out of it.
Falling by T.J. Newman – This one sounds thrilling and I’ve been excited to read it for a while.
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North – Time travel scifi, right up my alley, it has been on my TBR since it came out 10 years ago and I’m annoyed with myself that I haven’t read it yet!
Field Notes on Love by Jennifer E. Smith – I’ve loved many of the author’s books, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy this one too!
Funny Farm by Laurie Zaleski – I love animals and at one point I wanted to be a vet, but now that I have pets and understand the responsibility of taking care of them, I don’t think I’ll want more than a few at a time. I’m sure I’ll enjoy reading about someone else doing it though!
Firestarter by Stephen King – Is it even a Haze TTT if there’s no Stephen King book on the list?!
Fayne by Ann-Marie MacDonald – My library was featuring this book quite aggressively and it worked! I’m interested! It’s more than 700 pages though, so I’m waiting for the right time to pick it up.
Foxfire, Wolfskin by Sharon Blackie – Mythology, folklore, and fairy tales about women from across Europe. I want it, I need it. I want more!

Today’s topic is Literary/Bookish Candles I’d Make
I used to love scented candles and aromatherapy, but since having cats and learning that some aromatherapy oils can be dangerous to them, I haven’t had any in the home for a while now. So I’m going with Books Beginning with E. These are all books I haven’t read but want to. Some hopefully sooner rather than later.

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman – I actually got a couple of chapters in a few years ago but for some reason never finished it. I hear so much praise about it that I feel like I should try again though.
Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green – This one intrigues me specifically because of Nicky @ The Bibliophibian who has featured and talked about this book a lot! If you search for the book on their blog, you’ll find quite a few entries with very interesting writeups.
Emma by Jane Austen – I’ve only read two books by Austen but I keep meaning to read more. There are other Austen books I’m more interested in reading first, but this one starts with E.
Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn – I love the idea of this book but haven’t read it yet. It seems like a quick and easy read so I don’t know why I haven’t gotten to it. Maybe I’ve been taking it a little bit for granted.
The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty – I had no intention of ever reading this book initially, but a couple of my bookclub friends were discussing it so animatedly that it’s gotten me really curious. I still can’t say for sure that I will read it, but I am curious!
Educated by Tara Westover – This has been on my TBR forever and it has gotten so much praise that I know I have to read it.
The Emperor of All Maladies by Siddhartha Mukherjee – I’m a cancer survivor, but to be honest, I still don’t know very much about cancer at all. This sounds very interesting to me and I guess it’s never too late to educate myself.
Everything’s Eventual by Stephen King – I mean, if a Stephen King book fits in a TTT, you know I’m gonna add it there. I haven’t read so many of his books yet, but I’m looking forward to them all!
Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton – I’m doing the Classics Club challenge, and the one thing I love about this book is that it’s only 99 pages!
Eve by Cat Bohannon – A nonfiction book about the female body and its evolution? Sign me up! It’s seriously ridiculous how little we know about the female body. It’s seriously ridiculous how little I, as a woman, know about my own body! I don’t know if this book will answer all the questions, but I’m pretty sure I will learn some new things!

Today’s topic is Books Guaranteed to Put an End to Your Book Slump
I was having a hard time with this week’s topic because I feel like it’s so subjective depending on each person’s taste in books, so I decided to go with the alphabetical prompts and my next one was Books Beginning with D. While putting the list together, I realized that almost all of these are books that would get me out of a slump, so for what it’s worth, if your reading tastes are anything like mine, this might be a two-fer for both topics!
Top Ten Books Beginning with D
Dragons of Autumn Twilight by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman – If you like high fantasy, Dungeons & Dragons, or role-playing games, you probably already know about the Dragonlance books. I’ve been trying to reread this series for a while and need to make time for them!
Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid – One of the most well-known TJR books. I highly recommend listening to this one on audio because of the full-cast production.
Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman – I’ve read the first two books and I am hooked! I’m trying to get my hands on the rest of the books. It’s LitRPG with the funnest characters and storylines.
Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning – One of my favorite low fantasy series, I read up to Book 9 and still can’t get enough. It’s so well-written with characters I love and it’s so easy to get completely invested in the world.
Daddy-Long-Legs by Jean Webster – A short and sweet classic. Also full of nostalgia for me, so it’s guaranteed to get me out of any reading slump.
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch – A sci-fi thriller that pulls you in from the first page. It’s an incredible read and gives you lots to think about, but even better, a lot of feelings to feel.
The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black – I love a lot of Holly Black’s books, and this one is about the fae and changelings. I love how you get something really unexpected with this book.
Daughters of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor – The lore and world-building in this series is amazing. It’s been a while since I read it so I feel like I need a reread, but I remember the impression it made on me, and I remember feeling awed by it all.
Duma Key by Stephen King – Another one I don’t remember but I rated it 5 stars when I read it, and honestly, I can’t go wrong when it comes to Stephen King.
Daring Greatly by Brene Brown – A non-fiction that never fails to make me feel more grounded whenever I feel like I need it. If I’m in a slump because of mental-health reasons, Brene Brown instantly makes me feel better.

I’ve had so many opinions I thought were unpopular that turned out to be quite common and I felt a bit pressured to think of more, so I’m just going to cop-out with an easy alphabetical prompt. Here are some books I’ve read beginning with C.
Top Ten Books Beginning with C
Cat’s Eye by Margaret Atwood – I’ve talked about this book several times because it’s one of my favorite books; it focuses on the friendships between women and the way we are pitted against each other and taught to see each other as rivals. It’s been a while since I read it and I desperately need to reread.
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas – Another favorite that I’ve read many times but never get tired of. If you’re daunted by its size, I promise it’s really fast paced and easy to read once you get into it!
The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black – One of my favorite vampire stories although I can’t remember why! I guess I need to reread this too!
Carrie by Stephen King – I’ve read this before and I mean to read this again soon for my Stephen King Reading Challenge. It has been on my mind lately because of the buzz about Mike Flanagan adapting it. It’s very exciting!
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein – It’s a WW2 spy story and I remember feeling all the feelings when I read it more than ten years ago. In my Goodreads review I mention that this is a book I need to reread. I think I need a separate TBR list for rereads!
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky – This book is on this list purely for bragging purposes. 😂 I read it, it was okay, it mostly felt like a fever dream, but I read it relatively recently and I wanted to make sure everyone knew how much of an intellectual I am. 🤓
Circe by Madeline Miller – I would read anything by the author, and yes, I loved The Song of Achilles too, but I loved this one more. I love how relatable Circe is as a woman, goddess, witch, person. Another book I really want to reread!
Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid – I also would read anything by TJR, every book she’s written is gold! But I have a few favorites and this book is one of them.
Cinder by Marissa Meyer – I love the whole series! I love fairytale retellings in general and I always seek them out, but this one was special and different when it came out and I just loved how creative it was and how the overarching story brought everything together.
The Curiosity by Stephen P. Kiernan – This is one of my most favorite, most underrated authors I have ever read. I love every single one of his books but his most popular book only has about 20K ratings. It’s a shame because they are all so good. This book was my first and it’s about a man who has been frozen in ice for a century and wakes up in current times. All his books have been 5 stars for me, and I would reread them over and over again.

I sort of already have a list of earliest published books on my TBR, for The Classics Club challenge, so I decided to go with the next alphabet on my easy go-to topic; Books Beginning with B. (I can’t believe I’m only on the second letter!)
Top Ten Books Beginning with B
Bear by Marian Engel – This is a weird but interesting book. I’m not sure if I would recommend it to anyone, except for the sake of curiosity. I buddy read it with some friends and we did get some interesting discussions out of it though.
The Bodyguard by Katherine Center – I loved this one! Katherine Center has become one of my favorite authors, and I’d probably read anything she writes.
Bookshops & Bonedust by Travis Baldree – Another one I loved! I love Viv, and I love her friends, and I love the whole cozy bookshop setting as well. And obviously, the best thing for me about these books is the found family aspect, because I love found families!
The Bad Weather Friend by Dean Koontz – This one was okay. It’s a good and fun read, but nothing really special stood out for me.
The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie – I wasn’t sure about this book at first because the characters were so unlikeable in the beginning, but I ended up really loving it and the characters!
Between Us by Mhairi McFarlane – This has been on my TBR for ages and I’m trying my best to get to it soon! I love the author’s other books, and I’m sure I’ll love this one too, I just have to read it.
The Book of Koli by M.R. Carey – The first book of an amazing series! I highly recommend this one!
The Butcher of the Forest by Premee Mohamed – I have not read this one, but it’s been praised a lot and I am very interested in the premise!
Barbed Wire Heart by Tess Sharpe – Tess Sharpe is so great at writing badass young female protagonists! I loved this one and also The Girls I’ve Been, which is supposed to be made into a movie starring Millie Bobby Brown, but I haven’t any news about it since.
Book of Night by Holly Black – I’m a huge fan of Holly Black, and I loved this story and the characters! There’s also supposed to be a sequel coming out next year and I cannot wait to dive back into the story!

Today’s topic is Movies/TV Shows That Would Have Made Amazing Books
I can’t think of very many ideas for today’s topic, so from now on I’m going to go with books in alphabetical order every time I need an easy go-to topic, an idea I’m stealing from Pam @ Read! Bake! Create! I think it’s genius!
So here are the Top Ten Books on my TBR beginning with A. These are all books I intend to read, hopefully soon, but definitely eventually.

Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy – I actually got about 30% into this audiobook but stopped because I was getting confused with the names and characters and wanted to switch over to a printed copy. I’m not sure if I’ll pick up where I left off or start over again. Or maybe I should just keep going with the audiobook and not worry about getting all the details right.
Ariadne by Jennifer Saint – It’s been on my TBR since a Greek mythology binge a few years ago. I’d love to finally read it some time really soon!
A Natural History of Dragons by Marie Brennan – I’ve read this, but not the other books in the series. And I read it long enough ago that I don’t remember a thing and have to reread before diving into the next books.
All That’s Left to Say by Emery Lord – I’ve read a few of Emery Lord’s books and enjoyed them, so I really want to read this one too.
Accidentally Amy by Lynn Painter – I’ve heard so many good things about this author but haven’t read a single book by her. I thinking I have to remedy this and also possibly use it for the 52 Book Club Prompt 25: An author “everyone” has read except me.
A Tempest of Tea by Hafsah Faizal – Another author I’ve heard good things about, and another possibility for the same prompt.
A Theory of Haunting by Sarah Monette – So this books sounds really scary and satisfyingly creepy, and for some reason I feel the need to give myself some sleepless nights.
Artificial Condition by Martha Wells – The second book in the Murderbot series. I read the first and loved it and I wanna read the rest of it!
A Fire Endless by Rebecca Ross – The second book in the Elements of Cadence series. I read the first one and I really want to know what happens next.
A Study in Drowning by Ava Reid – I love fairy tales and tales about faes. How can I resist?
