Welcome to the Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer to share weekly news and updates on what we’ve been up to on our blog, with our books, and book-related happenings.

It’s been (more than) three whole months!

I cannot believe it’s been three whole months since I wrote a Sunday Post! I didn’t mean to be absent for so long! There had been a lot of changes in my routine that messed things up in regards to organizing my time and I’m still working things out in that area. Most of my routines that used to be consistent are now not as consistent because I’m trying to put them in new places and sometimes they don’t work out. I’ll keep trying.

I haven’t had a good time with reading recently either. It’s more than halfway through this (short) month, and I’ve only finished two books so far. I don’t know where my head is at. I did much better last month and I’ve still got time to catch up, but it’s been a struggle to get myself to focus. I’m also woefully behind on my book reviews and updating Goodreads. Hopefully, I’ll get it together sooner rather than later! I’m really rooting for me! 😂

The Books

Books I read last week:

Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky
Yes, dear reader, I only finished one book last week and it’s a book I just recently read last August. It was a buddy read on my online bookclub and we’re doing the rest of the series as well, so I thought I’d reread to refresh my memory before going on to the next books. The good news is that I got a lot more out of it this time around, and I’m looking forward to continuing the series!

    Book(s) I’m reading:

Record of a Spaceborn Few by Becky Chambers
I recently reread the first and second books in the Wayfarer series as well; The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet, and A Closed and Common Orbit. This is the third book in the series that I haven’t read, and I’m really enjoying it so far!

      Last Week on The Blog

      This Week

I’m going to do my utmost to get just a tiny bit more organized this week than last!

How was your week? I hope you had a great week last week, and I hope you have a great one again this week!

      1. yes I have my routines / systems and I need them! I’d like to apologize for the the horrors of the US right now. I am against what they have done / are doing. I did not vote for the convicted felon or the unelected billionaire.

Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post

        • Oh Anne, it’s not your fault. I’m so sorry for what the US is going through right now too. I hope you and yours will stay safe and well, and I hope that things will work out well in the end.

      2. Do what you can when you can. I’m glad you felt that you could take the time off from blogging to focus on arranging your schedule. I’ve only read 3 books and I feel that’s normal for me. I hope you have a great week!

      3. I hear ya! Change can be a huge upheaval, even when it feels like it should be better. And I try to remember that reading is for my pleasure, so how much I’m reading is not something I want to stress about 😉 Hope you find more peace soon!

      4. Hi Haze, it’s okay. Life comes first …. and sometimes work too, lol. You’re still doing well with your reads so not to worry. The weather has been tough right? I think eventually we’ll break out of this cold patch. Let’s meet up again for maybe a book event when spring comes. Or perhaps a buddy read? Enjoy your week.

        • Thanks so much, Susan, I know I can do better but I’m still working on it! And yes, of course I would love to meet up again when spring comes! Can’t wait for warmer weather! Enjoy your week too!

      5. Hi! I’m new to the Sunday Post and happy to meet you! Don’t be too hard on yourself about your reading, you’re allowed to have a moment, just try not to get stuck there 🙂

      6. I should probably read Children of Time again, because I found it a fascinating idea and I want to read the sequel(s?), but… I read it more than a minute ago, and thus can’t remember it well. 😛 Hope you enjoy reading onward!
